‘The Public House’ was the name of a bar without a face. Owner Lyndsay Edmonds approached us to create a brand for her craft cocktail project, hoping we could mirror the bright and lively interior of their space. We were inspired by her family’s history, running a filling station during the golden age of automobiles.
The ‘Godess of Bay City’ is heavily inspired by the hood ornaments of art-deco era cars, as well as the strong female team behind the bar itself. ‘Friends, Strangers, Lovers’ was a phrase discovered within the ideation process. We used it throughout the bar to represent the variety of relationships that can unfold place within the space.
